This lesson explains how to use the Re-open a Timesheet tool in CMAP. This tool is primarily used for:
• Re-open timesheets that have already been submitted so that edits can be made.
• Moving the timesheet’s Week Commencing forward (useful for managing contractors or after periods of maternity leave, etc., where timesheets may not have been completed for weeks/months at a time).
Step 1: Go into the Admin tab, find the Re-Open a Timesheet tool and click it.
Your users will be listed alphabetically by surname, along with their timesheets current Week Commencing date.
Step 2: Click the relevant Week Commencing box and select the appropriate Monday (i.e., Week Commencing day) from the pop-out calendar window.
Step 3: Click Save Changes.
NOTE: When the user goes into their timesheets, it will now show from the week you have selected in this tool.
TIP: If a user needs to go back and alter a time recording from several weeks ago, use this tool as explained to set the Week Commencing to the relevant week. Once the user has updated their timesheet, rather than go through the subsequent weeks submitting timesheets to get back up-to-date, simply set their Week Commencing back to the current week once they’ve made the edit.
