To close a project in CMap, start by going to the "Project Details" page, click the "Action" dropdown and select "Close Project":
To close a project the following 3 criteria must be met:
- All progress sliders must be set to 100%
- All invoices must be raised
- Outstanding WIP must be written-off/up
N.B. criteria 3 only applies to non-AEC customers
1. All progress sliders must be set to 100%
To set your progress sliders to 100% complete, follow these steps:
- Go to the project's "Budget vs Actual" page
- Scroll down to the "Budget vs. Actual Breakdown" section
- Under the "Progress" column, click one of the percentage value links
- The "Percentage Complete" popup will appear, allowing you to set the sliders to 100%
2. All invoices must be raised
Consult the project's "Invoicing" page to ensure the "Total Budget" and "Total Invoiced" values match.
N.B. If the invoicing value will not match the budget, you will need to add an adjustment to the Fee Estimator in order for the "Total Budget" and "Total Invoiced" values to match
3. Outstanding WIP must be written-off/up
N.B. This criteria only applies to non-AEC customers
Provided the previous 2 criteria have been met, if there is outstanding WIP on the project you will see the following prompt:
If a write up is required, you'd instead see a "Write Up Required" prompt
This prompt enables you to do an automatic write-off/up to handle the outstanding WIP and close the project
Click "Continue" to proceed, automatically write-off/up the WIP, and close the project
For "Fixed Fee" projects, a simple WIP write-off/up will be created
For "Resourced/Pure Time & Materials" projects, a detailed WIP write-off/up will be created
